Because of what won the #200 wishlist Poll - [link] - I think that addresses several of the top choices. Kinda.
So Jareth's latest shenanigans really left the Fourth Wall in rubble. I'd apologize for the excessive amount of meta in the latest pages, buuuut contrived fanservice is fanservice nonetheless, ne?
The flimsiest excuses for a make-out, really. And just under-scoring the point that if there weren't all those issues in the way...
((I'm honestly unsure whether this was what Jareth was timeskipping ahead to - it's a Speshul, but it's numbered, but it's out of continuity... - he may or may not have 'seen' it coming. There is another big plotty arc starting up soon, however, and that may be what caught his interest...))

I did not think I would ever hear a more distant sound than Mt St Helen erupting over 250 miles away. -passes out from the awesome...then revives- YES! That is incredible. Love it! I also love the detail in the last panel -Jareth pushes trunk away, Sarah crumbles the paper- That little detail made it sexy and funny. ^_^

Okay, now that my squee is sort of out of the way... LOVE the discussion about things being out of continuity, etc... CONSIDERING that His Nibs is the one who CAUSED the out of continuity!

Trรจs honestly, Jareth caused the timeskip but the jury's out on whether he could control landing them in a Speshul. There was a possible tie-in to the sense of having missed something since we catch them in medias res argument, but it is more a case of a pile-up of two of my weirder ideas in close conjunction, I'm afraid (mediocre planning on my part).
Indeed since that yuri outtake came back to bother her in-comic since, Sarah should know better than to call "safe" and throw caution to the wind as soon as "out of continuity" is mentioned.
S'like she's only looking for a decent excuse sometimes, almost...

We'll blame / credit The Powers of Fanservice for landing them there once Jareth decided to toss continuity?
Hmmm... maybe when Stark rebuilt the boys' apartment(s) ( [link] ), Sarah happened to be in the right place at the right time when the contractors were moving stuff out. And Jareth was at his castle at the time. Leading to argument, etc.
My personal guess is that, yeah, this is a Speshul, but it's still going to be in continuity, sort of, in that the story is going to kind of pick up from this point.
