I don't even know... uh...I like TFA character designs, but I wanted to see them a little more.. less cartoony and less spandex suits. Can I even say it like that? Not to forget to mention I mixed up Prime style to them if it's not obvious from my scribbles
Where did the idea come from? Just a random crossover RP again, and I had hard time imagining the TFA mixing with TFP, thus these sketches came alive. Me RPing the TFA characters, my crazy partner *PhazonFlood playing TFP ones
I think I like Jazz the most... yup. So nothing much. Added sum editing with OpenCanvas.

Go Go God mode
Even with the hints, it would go same as the author tries to make a character in a story to be related to their country's president/celebrity some mystic ways. Unless it goes as far as humans evolved from monkeys and one can say we're all lost long relatives to each other

your so called "Sketches" look like real drawings to me
in fact to me they look really clean

The clean feeling comes because some lines I've only drawn once, and never touched it afterward, either thinking it looks just fine as it is, or forgot it exists! For example Jazz's shoulder plate has both sides two thin single lines, just to add more perspective and blockynessss (yes yes round shapes, still adds blockyness, because I says so!) All their faces have fine-tuned thin lines too >:I Not to forget the shading of one-directional lines and cross-hatching here and there to add also texture! Grngmgm.
They are not clean if you concentrate your eyes to the correct places!

well ..... I have problems ;A;
because each time I TRY to draw transformers I find it hard
first of all I usually get all the proportions incorrect.
second, I don't understand how each one of them works or which parts can be bent, while others are not allowed by physics
but then again
they are "living metal" so I have no idea how they all work or how do they even transform

and I am probably like a needle in ass because you always still read and even reply to my comments even if I sound annoying ;A;
from drawing anthros and animals all the time I sort of have learnt to draw everything with curves
now when I have grown up a little
I find it really difficult to start drawing transformers ;~;
I SHOULD draw them with straight and pointy lines and build them up with all kinds of geometric figures and "blocks and boxes" that create the shape for the transformer!
but I can't .... my sketches always become useless.....

but at the same time I would love to learn to draw transformers and be a better artist!

That's the thing; we fleshlings bend and flex more than metal and mechanical joints 
When you compare for example G1 to Prime, there's a noticeable difference between their transformations. Where G1 was blocky and basically their (toy) transformation was just to pile character in to shape, in Prime (and the toys of it) have a lot more complex transformation from robot to alt-form.
In the simplest mode, a joint is just two pipes screwed together with a bolt. You could imagine a stick figure, really. That's the very basic of it. You give the stick figure made out of pipes and bolts "proper" proportions and you're almost done. Not all of the characters follow exact human anatomy
Who says robots can't be without curves? Just look at G1 Arcee or Prime's Starscream and his thighs and calves, added with the heels 
You just have to take the more observing attitude for this to get started, and I get more annoyed by people who comment something I can't answer anything rather than those asking questions or create discussion

That youtube video was very nice. I still don't understand how a sentient being who knows how to think, to express themselves and not be just like animals in the nature, to be sold as merchandise. Why are humans so scared of them is beyond me.

Who's a good practice model, I don't know, all in Prime are very complex with design. The reason I have so many screenshots, is to make sure how their structure looks like in 3D, since if I have a character from one angle only, I can't simply know how to draw other areas that are hidden in that picture. I hate to improvise too much unless it's just a s sketch/doodle/scribble.
PS. Optimus' fingers works just normal in TFP

Well, apparently Photobucket isn't working atm, so it's a no go, lol; Or it's some weird setups with my PC and internet browsers. Both Chrome and Mozilla are giving the same error page, so probably the site itself. Perfect timing I'd say.

I don't know what's weird about them, they are more flat than "human" fingers, but then again they're not humans 
When it comes to hands, Arcee, Airachnid, Knock Out, Megatron and Soundwave has similar, where as Ratchet, Bulkhead, Breakdown and can't remember exact, but Wheeljack too has similar to each others. Different types of joints, how MANY joints their fingers have and how MANY fingers. Some have 4, some have 5. Not to forget the Vehicons/Eradicons have only 3 fingers.

If they did a comic series based in or on the animated series, I think this would be the best way of interpreting them. Having the characteristics of all the 'bots and 'cons while making them look more robotic and complex then the animated models could do for them.
Blitzwing and Jazz are my favorites here
