“Ssssoooo……Let me get this straight…” Olan looked skeptical, after Sparkle and Isaac got back from their mission. “Behind the waterfall is a cave and in the deepest part of the cave is a gigantic gem…And when you push the gem, it’ll trigger a trap and a wave comes out of now where and takes you through a geyser. Which lands you in the Hot Spring? Is that your report?”

Sparkle was silent, she was a bit distant. Isaac was the one who answered. “Yeah, that pretty much sums it up.”

“Well this is a major discovery!!!” Olan smiled excitedly.

“Really?” Isaac tilted his head.

“Undoubtedly! After all, the presence of the cave behind the waterfall, no one knew about that before!!!”

“Well, least we made the discovery!” Isaac said happily.

Sparkle couldn’t share the excitement. She was the only one who knew that someone else found it. Or did they? (When I had that vision. The shadow of the Pokémon I saw…..It looked like Puffs…..Then again, it was. However, last vision was in the future. Maybe this was too. But……could it be from the past? Could my dizzy spells be the past or the future?)

“Your mission is just amazing!” Olan continued. “The Guildmaster must be told!”

Isaac looked at Sparkle, but she was facing the window with an unreadable look on her face. Like she was seeing things no other could. “Sparkle, what’s wrong?”

Sparkle blinked, slowly and looked at Olan, “Olan, is it possible that Puffs might have been at the waterfall before? And found the cave as well?”

“What?!” Olan and Isaac exclaimed.

“You really think Puffs went there?” Isaac asked.

“Oh, no, no, no! Emphatically no!” Olan flapped his wings fast. “There’s absolutely no way he did! If that were so, then the Guildmaster wouldn’t have sent you guys there, right?”

“Yeah…” Isaac glanced at Sparkle, confused.

Sparkle only sighed slowly, “Could you see at least please?” (I have to know if this was a past event or a future one.)

“Well…..asking never hurts anyone. I shall see.” Olan said, calmly then turned away from them. “Hhmm….But why would they want to spoil their own discovery? How strange…I should be used to it by now…These apprentices are yet another strange crew, aren’t they…?”

“What was that?” Isaac asked, somewhat annoyed in his voice. He clearly heard what Olan just said.

“What?!” Olan gasped, and quickly turn to look at them. “Oh, nothing! Nothing! Nothing at all! I’ll go see the Guildmaster and see what he says.”

Olan hopped into the chamber and the door shut.

Then Sparkle and Isaac was alone. Isaac was the first to speak. “I don’t understand, why do you think Puffs went there? It makes sense that he hasn’t or else he wouldn’t have sent us.”

Sparke sighed, “Because, I just want to see if my vision was from the future or the past. That’s all.”

“You saw Puffs in your vision?!” Isaac exclaimed. “Why didn’t you tell me?”

“Because I just thought about it now while you two were talking.” Sparkle told him. “The shape was Puffs and I just want to figure out if I can see past and future events. Azul was from the future. This vision could have easily went be in the future, but there’s a chance that it could be in the past too. I just want to confirm it, is all.”

Isaac seemed less doubtful. “Yeah….I can understand that.”

Just then Olan hopped out of the chamber and stood in front of them.

“So…..” Sparkle said.

Olan looked a bit confused, but he answered, “Well, I asked him, he did mumble for a bit. Then he said, ‘Oh! Memories! Sweet memories! YOOM TAH!’ Then he danced around for a bit. Then he said… ‘Yes, Yes. When I think hard, maybe I did go there once!’ And that’s pretty much what he said. To sum it all up, it’s just as Sparkle suspected. He’s already been to Waterfall Cave.”

“Oh…..” Isaac looked a bit upset. “That’s a bit disappointing, that we weren’t the first. Wish he said something at first.”

“Eh…the Guildmaster can be…..uh…” Olan searched for the right word for a moment, “erratic at times.. Even I can’t quite fathom what goes on in his head. But still no one, but Puffs knew, and he told no one. So you kind of did find a new place for everyone else to explore. So thank you for exploring Waterfall Cave. And I shall expect best effort from you both tomorrow.”

“Ermm….that doesn’t help a bit.” Isaac mumbled to himself.

Sparkle just shrugged and walked towards her room, wanting to go to sleep already. She wasn’t hungry again, and just wanted to sleep. (Today was so tiring…..At least I know I can see past events as well, but to figure out which is which will be difficult.) Sparkle made it back in her room and set their bag beside the wall and went to her bed to lie down. After a while, Isaac came in. He looked happier than before.

“You missed out on a delicious meal.” Isaac said, rubbing his stomach with one paw, the other was behind him and then he pulled out a few Pecha berries. “I managed to get you some food. You hadn’t eaten much, you better try to eat something.” He handed her the berries, which Sparkle didn’t want to eat, but took them anyway. Isaac sighed. “You know, it’s kinda sad we didn’t discover that place first…..”

(Oh great, going to blame me for it? Well sorry, I had to make sure my vision was from the past this time.) Sparkle turned away, curled up with her back towards him.

“But yet, I still had a good time. Those gems were so pretty.” Isaac said unexpectedly, that made Sparkle perk up, but she didn’t look at him. “Yeah, ok I admit I’m disappointed Puffs was there first, but that makes us the second to find it and let everyone know. And besides it was out first exploration and we passed it. That’s all that really matters anyway. I rather pass our missions than being the first to discover a place. I want to graduate and become a true explorer and then discover the secret of my Relic Fragment. And Sparkle….” There was a short pause, and only when Sparkle looked at him, he continued. “I have to thank you for being my partner. Meeting you I realized that I should stop and notice things. I usually rush through things and don’t take my time. And I get frustrated easy. But with you I’m taking things one step at a time, and actually having fun. I thought going slow, would be….you know….would take forever. But yet I’m seeing things differently and it was all because I met you.”

Sparkle was a bit surprised and speechless as well, but she managed to smile and nodded once.

Then Isaac perked up, like he just realized something. “Oh, I just remembered something about your dizzy spells. You always seem to touch something when it triggers it.”

Sparkle then realized it was true. When Sparkle and Azul made contact, she heard his voice. Then Gituku bumped into her and she had the vision of Azul being in trouble. Touching the falls, she had the vision of Puffs jumping into the falls leading into the cave. And when she tried to pull out the gem, she had the vision of that wave after pushing the gem. (It is true! When I touch something it triggers it! Why didn’t I see it before?! But is it for everytime I touch something? Or certain things?)

“And now you know you can see things in the past or the future.” Isaac said. “So you really have a special ability there, Sparkle. It could be so helpful on missions and everything!”

“Well……yeah….” Sparkle finally spoke. “But that doesn’t mean that everything that I touch I see something. I mean, I’ve…..touched you and I saw nothing. I always hold the bag and I get nothing from that as well. So it really isn’t everything I touch.”

“Maybe it certain things you touch.” Isaac suggested. “Like a special item or anything. Something connected to something important you’re focused on. Maybe….”

“Yeah….that’s an idea…” Sparkle started to say, but then Olan hopped in.

“Excuse me you two.” Olan said. “The Guildmaster wants to see you, right now.”
