Meet my bird-sona, Flicker! He doesn't have much in the way of lore yet, but what I can tell you is that he was hatched a regular anthropomorphic woodpecker, but at some point he was caught in the crossfire of two powerful wizards, walking out of the duel with some unique... traits. The most notable are his fluffy, raptor-like tail and his bright orange "gorget"chest plumage reminiscent of a hummingbird. But there are plenty of less obvious features he gained, like the forked tongue of a hummingbird, as well as frequent cravings for sweet drinks that hummingbird anthros in his world tend to have. His desire to reverse the effects inflicted upon him drove him to learn magic, particularly transformation magic. Unlike magic users, he prefers modern technology for many daily tasks, and is poor in spells such as levitation and defense. He has mastered transformation, but it is impossible for him to take a form similar to his original self without some of the previously mentioned traits showing up. For example, his favorite form, a pileated woodpecker gryphon, features the same raptor-like tail his primary form has. His other form, a feral (in appearance) pileated woodpecker has the hummingbird feathers and sugary appetite. He is also decent at growing and shrinking type spells, and could hypothetically become any size, but he uses this rarely given the risks on either side of the size spectrum. He's an amateur photographer (like me), loves music (also like me), and is also very food motivated (also also like me).
