Built around the worship of the malevolent side of chaos-entity-turned-good Discord, this ancient order has existed since before the murder of Prince Sextans and Princess Compass, Princess Celestia and Princess Luna's grandparents, at Discord's hands. During the time of the Solar Empire, rather than subject themselves to Celestia's rule, this cult decided to propel itself into the stars far beyond what was safe to travel around at that time. It is theorized that they had developed the Subspace Drive long before the Imperium or the Republic had, but were largely absent from the events of the Civil War. Now, with Discord serving on the front lines of the war between the United Confederation of Equestria and their enemies, the Royal Canid Empire, the Cult has resurfaced, hoping to capture Discord and turn him back into the malevolent Chimera he once was. Allied with the Shivans and the Swarm and armed with bizarre and terrifying technology, they also have another demand: the Princesses must surrender and accept the terms of being the first to be executed under their new regime, with Discord free to wreak havoc on any world he sees fit. But what the Order does not realize is that the Equestrians will not back down, because Harmony has returned to them, and, because of an old proverb given by a dying Griffin Emperor: The wind may blow, but the mountain cannot bow.

The flag is pitch black for a reason: it shows that the Order, without a doubt, is pure, unmasked, and unforgiving evil. While their actions may be in secret, when you see this flag flying, you'd better run because they're not going to help you. In fact, they might just use you as the subject of their next sacrifice! Even though Discord has reformed, they want to appease the monster lurking in him so that he can unleash pure chaos on their enemies, and their allies in the Shivans makes it apparent that (if you've ever played Freespace, that is) something's not right. The flag's text is red to further accentuate the fact that they are cruel, evil, and unforgiving, and it looks the way it does because it's been written--rather messily--in pony blood, so as to put an accent on the "nightmarish" side of the Order, hence why the text is in the fontstyle of SAW--called "Cold Night for Alligators".
