In Russia, a report of a titan-class kaiju was vast approaching the city of Vladivostok, and though the city has a company of mechanized soldiers and microwave cannons on standby, they're only geared to fight super-fauna and goliath class kaijus, and more units need to be shipped. The estimated arrival for the titan-class spider beast was 2 days, meanwhile the shipping of new units would be in 3 days, it would've been 1 day, but many of the battle mechs being shipped broke down and needed to be fixed.

What made this even worse, is that another report came in that the kaiju, now named Babushkak, was being followed by a horde of smaller, mega-fauna class broodlings, a horde of about a hundred strong. Not only were the soldiers panicking, but the whole city was in state of mass hysteria, and riots broke out due to this, and this made evacuation of Vladivostok extremely difficult. Only 23k out of the 600k people were evacuated out the city, and to put more salt in the wound, the kaiju and her horde finally arrived a day earlier than expected.

The defense of Vladivostok was a complete and utter failure, the 280ft (85.34m) tall kaiju tore apart the city, and its broodlings ripped many thousands of fleeing civvies apart, and though the mech soldiers and microwave cannons were able to make to push the brood back, and the microwave lasers repelled the elder beast for a long while, that was until the beast summoned yet more broodlings from the egg sac on her back. The horde was replenished and company's morale suddenly vanished and their lives came to a swift end as hundreds of giant baby spiders ran through and killed the remaining soldiers. Vladivostok is now currently the nesting ground of Babushkak, with webs hanging from building to building, and broodlings flooded the city, hunting for the remaining people who weren't able to evacuate.

This situation was similar to the invasion of Dublin by the kaiju Old Lass Kragga in 2021, with the evacuation being a failure and the beast making a short lived home in the ruins, however Old Lass Kragga was soon killed a week later when the UN bombed the creature with stealth jets. However that event can be excused due to the sudden rise of kaiju activity and not having contingency plan for it, but this time in the year 2046, having the plans, intel, and weapons required to combat said kaiju, the defense effort failed. People all over the world are angry at the russian government due to their slow call to action, as well as their failure to properly keep up with their utilities, with most of their newer mechs and weapons later having to be recalled, due most of them being faulty.
