Headcanon/AU:

The founder of the Nexus Core, and the figure head of Project Nexus. His brilliant mind was used to help the poor citizens of the Nevada Wastelands, however his thirst for power, as well as an obsessive fascination with the occult has led him down a darker path. He went from a philanthropist CEO doing his best for the people, to a horrifying dictator ruling Nexus City with an Iron Fist. He often harnessed the unknowing powers of Dissonance, as well harvesting souls for his own dark experiments, in which one of them eventually ended up creating a massive monstrosity known Project Gestalt.

Director Phobos was ultimately killed by Dr. Jebediah Christoff, using his own prototype weapons and artifacts against him, their battle was brutal, with eldritch-charged sword clashes and bullets flying, but in the end Phobos was murdered in his own office. Despite the CEO being murdered, the Nexus Core is still functioning to this day, now being run by a council and an commanding AI, though Nexus City is a different story...

Director Phobos' soul remains trapped in the depths of hell, though thanks to his knowledge of the occult, he knows the place almost inside and out, as well as any potential ways to escape back to Earth, and chances are that this isn't the last time Nevada will ever see Phobos again. He has way too many things he's left behind, and though his days as a dictator is over, so much of his research remains unfinished, his need to gain as much power as possible knows no bounds.
