Sketched this a while ago when I first saw the movie but didn't finish it till now.. so I'm a bit late to the httyd-fanart party XDgeneric thing to do with your pet dragon.. use him as an umbrella!

this is my absolute favorite piece involving toothless and hiccup. toothless is loyal to hiccup to the point of when hiccup made toothless a completely automated tail fin, toothless destroyed it because he wanted the old one and to have hiccup as his rider again. talk about a best friend; he gave up the chance for his own freedom to keep hiccup as his rider.
