after i drew that other set of possible homeworld gem designs i kinda fell in love with eye gem sapphire, even though she was meant to be a joke lmao. so i gave her a different dress and played around with the style a little, which lead to some ideas about her...

i imagine that this sapphire is seen as 'defective' by the homeworld, because her gem placement renders her blind. because sapphires are rare and valuable, she is still used for her predictions but is allowed less freedom than other sapphires. her inability to see the present leads to her getting lost in visions of possible futures. maybe one day she'll see her own rebellion?
