Description

I was in need of ideas for the Type and Image assignment in Typography and so I decided to make up a name and logo for a local billiards team. I based this logo off of the logo of a video game actually, but it was a really challenging and interesting thing to try to mimic the look. Doing this assignment I learned how to use gradient overlays on text, the warp function in Photoshop, and I played around with glows and gradients to make the ball look shiny. It was a great learning experience.
This is the last version I made with the 8 standing straight; I've included the other two below. Which do you like better?
