Second drawing of the year! Actually started on this way back in september-ish but finally decided to not be lazy anymore and finish it. Here we have an as complete as possible bio of Sergeant-Muffin 's Tektite and my Peridot. And their fusion, Olivine!

Peridot Facet-4NN3 Cut-P1P is a peridot hailing from Homeworld's golden era, now better known as Era 1. She is, for a lack of better term, a real elder-gem, having lived for many millenia in service of Homeworld and working hard to climb the ranks, eventually becoming one of White Diamond's most respected executives in the field of kindergartening. As any peridot from her era, she possesses the inherent power of Ferrokinesis, meaning that she can lift and bend many types of metal with only a flick of her mind. This may even include metal based gem species such as bismuths and pyrites. One day, unknowing to her, her kindergarten was running out of resources, and it had created a tektike that was too short and displayed different behavior than other tektites. It was Peridot's first ever malformed gem, and this terrified Peridot. She first wanted to dispose of Tektite immediately before White Diamond would find out. But she soon discovered that she didn't have the heart, or rather had too much of a heart, to finish the job. Threatened to now be shattered as well for disobeying the law, this ultimately led to her escaping from Homeworld together with Tektite. But she could never blame her for her exile, because that exile was the best thing ever to happen to her in her life of monotony.

Tektite formed at the Kindergarten where Peridot worked at. Normally tektites are the mirror gems and partners of peridots, resembling each other like amethysts and rose quartzes do. But her lack of size is the result of deprivation of resources. Little did anyone know, she would be the harbinger of many more of these shorter, 'less functional' gems to come in the distant future. Tektite is hyperactive and childish. Despite her shortcomings, she still has the power to control electrical currents like all of her tektite sisters. Because she is an outcast and not restricted by the rule of Homeworld from the beginning, she has little discipline. Unlike Peridot, who would for a while continue to struggle to even bring up a smile. Thanks to her freedom, Tektite quickly figured out what she wanted to do and what she wanted to become. She loves music, to a point where she'll obsessively collect various instruments from different alien cultures as well as record music to listen to. She also loves to play games. Peridot remains a jaded person, but cannot stay serious for long when Tektite is with her.

When fused, Peridot and Tektite combine into Olivine. Her color tones lean more towards the coloration of real-life peridot and olivine (light yellow-green). She has four eyes, but likes to trick others into believing she only has two by keeping the top set closed, making them look like frowning eyebrows. As a result, she looks like she's always glaring or being mischievous, befitting her personality. She opens them only when she feels like messing with people or when things get serious. She also has two pairs of arms and a slightly bulkier form. Thanks to her former gems' inherent powers, Olivine posesses both the power of Ferrokinesis and the ability to control and lead electricity at will. She may even combine the two powers to magnetize metal objects as well. However, she has little control over this ability, as whenever she does this, anything metal in her field of range will become magnetic, which can cause a lot of chaos.
