Description Uploading before I forget since it's already midnight

Sonic Forces came out today and I've been watching my friend play all day (my copy won't be given to me until Christmas per an agreement with my mom who already paid for it when I was about to pre order my own. This is why it helps to talk with people about what you're planning to get as it gets closer to the holidays or your birthday: you don't know if they've already ordered it for you. As a kid my mom would always try to disuade me from buying certain things she already got me, as an adult she just flat out tells me since I have a job and thus have more than a $10 allowance) and we've been enjoying it. Ian Flynn's work on the comics definitely translates to this game as he wrote it, and I have to say it's a breath of fresh air to see the characters written well. Sonic isn't a boarderline jerk, Knuckles seems to be given a nice balance of stoic yet comedic, Amy wasn't reverted to being a fangirl or set aside on account of being busy with the Resistance, and from what I can tell Tails wasn't reverted to being a coward and they actually adress it. Plus you have Big who is just there and fishing, he doesn't know how or why and is just happy existing.

Anyway, I drew this the other day and didn't want to just draw Sonic. So I just started sketching and it just turned into Amy holding a Koko. I looked online for references on the Koko's apperance and found an image of Amy interacting with this particular Koko (In the game she and Sonic help her reunite with her true love). In the game, after helping the Koko, Amy expresses that she wants to spread love around the world. Actually, with Knuckles they also have him get the idea to travel around and experience new things, and I suspect Tails might get a similar scene. Who knows, we might actually get solo games or maybe a spinoff comic series for these three, which I'd be all here for. I love Sonic, but I miss the times in the Classic era and the older Modern Era games where we'd get stories about the other characters' solo adventures, we haven't exactly gotten many since with Shadow the Hedgehog and Sonic 06 being the last games in the franchise to only focus on a character besides Sonic during the story mode.

That aside, I definitely recommend this game and I can't wait to play it on my own. Here's hoping SEGA realizes they did something right and keeps this team of writers, composers, and progammers, because this is probably the best new Sonic game I've played in a long time.
