[Episode 6: Vengeful Spirit 2018]/[Episode 7: Grim Reaper 2015]

Arriving in 2015, shortly after Mai lost her family, Mirai and Akira encounter the anomaly present immediately: A monster murdering humans and stealing their eyes and souls. Horrified by the violent ways of this Another, the two hunt down Mai, finding her in Greece. Angry that someone is masquerading as her Rider self, she joins the two to reclaim her name. Caught up in the mystery of Another Shinigami's identity, the trio turn to John for help. What he reveals to them only raises further questions.

Another Shinigami is the reanimated corpse of Mai herself. An Another Ridewatch was shoved into it, and given orders to gather souls to wish herself immortal. Faced with this new development, the trio ponder to themselves how to destroy the watch and correct history without destroying Mai's body...

Mai reveals to the duo the Shinigami Ridewatch, and hands it over, saying it's worthless to her. This gives Mirai an idea as to how to deal with their problem. Enacting this plan, they lure Another Shinigami to where they want her, and strike. The plan ultimately fails, and Mirai is left scared as the Another advanced toward her... When suddenly it stops, grunting in pain. The soulless body separates from the Another, and the 3 Riders realize they can destroy the Another now. With a combined attack from Tokey Shinigami Armor, Aevum, and Shinigami Chishi Reaper, the Another is destroyed. Saying farewell to the vengeful ghost, the duo head off to the year 2002, where Another Maxi has appeared again, but are left wondering what exactly happened to cause Another Shinigami to split like that.

All the while Horae watches, telling no one in particular that Mirai is beginning to reawaken her powers...

Another Shinigami is one of the first Another Riders I designed, and is largely just Another Ghost with new parts. I gave her a large, demonic looking scythe permanently attached to her left arm. Her goals are me taking the phrase "The Eyes are the window to the soul" as literally as possible, feeding into the horror movie monster feel I wanted for her design.
