Guysseriously guyyyyys
if you own Splatoon and haven't touched the single player yetwhatTHEHECKAREYOUDOING
I really don't care that the game's only been out for like a week and this pic is spoiler express if you don't want to see what any bosses look like
but I haaaaaaaad to draw this guy ;o;
he just rocks way too much
I won't spoil how the bossfight IS so seriously go play it already >:I
ALSO I ended up making this picture using some ideas/techniques I got from this loverly process tutorial
it was a combination with some of their techniques and my own, but it was really nice just letting loose for a digital painting and not worrying so much over whether or not all the edges are crisp or that everything's blended perfectly like I have in the past :,P

(The rainbow bouncing of the pic hurt my eyes after a bit- but my eyes are jus more sensitive to that sort of stuff x,D I did like the effect though regardless)
Also dude I've been LOOKING for a free music program to mess about with creating remixes and stuff in- so I'll totally have to give that AudioSauna thing a try myself later! :,D

Duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuude thank you so much! ;v; By the time I had spent about two days on it I knew I was going overboard of my original idea- but it was seriously fun going overboard a;lsdfn;sd
Octavio himself almost took a day on his own with his DJ table, but he was probably my favorite part of the whole thing to paint with all the different colors reflecting off him and his hat

Already since making this I've been doing a handful of smaller speedpaints on my own for environments, and the stuff I learned out of this has been immEDIATELY helpful in working on them Speedpainting was something I've actually wanted to do for years, but this is the first time I've felt like I have a method that's actually fun and can work really well for it. <33

I got about two bosses into single player when I decided that I was just going to focus on online and ranked. Until I finally saw the last boss! It's such an amazing fight and I feel almost like the rest of the single player doesn't quite do this boss justice. Probably one of the best final boss fights I've ever played, and this is a great picture capturing that

As for me I ended up going constantly between the two. I really loved the feel of the single player mode and it helped break up the more intense fun of the competitive multiplayer stages :iconreliefplz: The last boss though really put on the heat to say the least! xD

Nintender sells refurbished versions of the console for $100 LESS as well if you wanna hunt on their site for one to buy once you have enough. I ended up getting mine though on Amazon used for about the same price- and although missing a charger it had a copy of Monster Hunter 3 stuck inside it xDDD I don't play the game but it was a nifty find all the same

I really want to learn how to digitally paint. Like- I have felt for a long while very... disjointed? when it comes to digital art - like, I feel like I can do good and that I'd love to experiment with color and different brushes and stuff - but for some reason I just cAN'T GET USED to digital tools. It's so frustrating D'x But Imma take a look at that thar tutorial and see if it helps me some 8P

And dude- it's taken me ages to figure out how to digitally paint. Just about every year since starting to use digital programs I've been straining to try and practice and just figure things out with it all x,D So TRUST when I say it'll take a while- you just gotta keep pushing until it happens And youse STILL know I can throw any sort of tips I have up my sleeve your way whenever ya need them :,P and alSO if you'd like some of the brushes I used to make this I can send them for you to play with too! It was just 1 to sketch, one to throw down colors, and one to paint over the whole thing with the colors all there as a base instead of something to scrap like I usually do xD the tumblr version of the pic I included the sketch I worked from underneath, but I gotta figure out a theme that can show images in the description better since it's cutting it off in the permalink xP piranharting.tumblr.com/post/1… so just right click to view the whole thing in another window >XD

I do actually have a Wii U but I don't have Splatoon yet! I'll probably have it before my birthday though because I think my brother wants to get it too so we'll probably just buy it n' split the cost 8P

THERE should be a button called "preset manager" or "brush presets" near the section where all your brushes are to click on, and when you open that up you get the option to load brushes- so you can add the file of whatever I sent ya in the past from there :>
I've gots a handful of new ones now that I can ALSO share later though if ya like
