I don't understand at all why people think she gets in the way of pairings. She, in no way whatsoever, does not even try, unless the fans do so in whatever said fans are doing. It makes me sad that they treat her so badly. ;-;

I think it's stupid that people hate all the female hetalia characters because they "get in the way". It's ridiculous! What, has Hetalia become all about the ships now? Because it's not! Sure there is a little romance in it, but the ships aren't everything and I wish the fans would realize this and stop hating on the girls for such a stupid reason.
Heck, should I hate England for "getting in the way" of my ships??? No! Actually, I rather like England. I simply don't like the other ships that they have England in. If you're going to be annoyed with anything, it shouldn't be the character, because the character isn't doing ANYTHING. It's the fans, and guess what? What the fans do isn't what the cannon does. So deal with it. People are entitled to their own opinions, and it's not going to mess with your ship.
And I honestly think the whole hating Seychelles thing came from the Gakuen Hetalia, which wasn't even created by Himaruya as far as I know. So, in cannon, Seychelles really DOESN'T "get in the way" of anyones ships. You can still ship your FrUK and U-SUK, and Seychelles will have no part in it. In fact, I think Seychelles is more of France and Iggy's child (just my opinion!), so if anything it actually helps with that.
