Professional note: the use of the red hue in both the subject and the background was a good connection. human skin also has red hue in it so it all meshes together well.
Personal note: kinda weird...i've seen, a thousand or so photos similar to this or more risque than this, self portraits and of models...but somehow when i "know" who the model is i kind of feel akward, like i should apologize or something. Funny how perspective changes everything...
