Night Vale means a great deal to me. I've been listening to it for four years, and I've watched as these two fell in love and, eventually get married now I guess. (SPOILERS SORRY BUT ITS ALL OVER TUMBLR GIVE ME MY KICKS).

As things in my life would change, Night Vale wouldn't. I would turn it on to listen to every month, and it helped me get through my hard time at art school and some dark parts in my life. I've attended their first live show, got to meet the super sweet cast in person, I'm finally getting the novel for Christmas, and I even have a t-shirt. So it reaching its hundredth episode and seeing these two finally achieving true happiness after the hell they have gone through is honestly extremely emotional to me. Cecil and Carlos were the first LBGT pairing I had ever been introduced to media, and how their love progressed so organically and free of cliches is a joy to watch. As a woman who identifies as demi-ace, and wants to write LBGT stories to kid audiences, it makes me so happy that my first experience with a gay pairing were these two.

Night Vale is weird and horror-esque, but at the bottom of it it is a simple love story, about two adults who just kinda fell for each other, and how they deal with surprisingly normal relationship things amongst their not-so-normal world. Its not for everyone, but I highly recommend checking it out as its one of the most beautiful and artful love stories ever put to media probably. The commitment is honestly pretty intense (a hundred episodes to catch up on) but its truly one of a kind.
