I just love the idea of Amethyst protecting her little sisters from their douche of a dad so I drew that - I feel like the only reason they'd all see him is when Dinky and amethyst visit Tootsie cause ofc he'd show up and try to manipulate his youngest child and ex-wife into loving him "unfortunately" for him Amethyst doesn't approve and sees through his bs
And yes instead of drawing my next-gen stuff I got a little hyper fixated on Derpy kids but hey sue me they are all adorable and this way I don't have to design any characters other than Amethyst and Tootsie parents but I already figured out what they look like its just a matter of drawing them.
Also I'm thinking about designing a partner and some kids for Amethyst but I haven't decided if I'm going to use a background character or just adopt her a partner
