Eyy, let’s meet Cosmo.

This is Cosmo, a mouse Spite who has lived her share of difficulties and is the deuteragonist of the story.
One might wonder why her current outfit is quite suggestive. Cosmo works in a brothel, but as one might guess she doesn’t like it. Well-paying work is difficult to find for a Spite and many, including Cosmo’s family, live in poverty as a result. She only stays because she needs to provide for her family and it doesn’t bother her much anymore anyway.
Because of her work situation Cosmo finds herself traveling to various locations where not many Spites would go, particularly to where the Soares reside. She has decided to use her circumstances to her advantage by doubling as a spy for the rebellion.
Even though she is fighting for freedom from the Soare’s oppression she doesn’t fully believe things can change. Her views on life aren’t too hopeful and her views on the Soares are less than nice.
But she soon learns that things don’t have to stay black and white.

So you’ve met the focal characters. I don’t think I should introduce the supporting cast until I lay down some more world building and tie down more story elements.
If you’re like me you need to know, and the answer is yes, it does get better for her.
