14 ex USN SC-497 Submarine Chasers were given and transferred to the Philippine Navy in 1948. They were deployed in Coast patrol mission and intercepting missions. But their status remains unknown of their service, according to surviving sources from its naval list, only 4 were decommissioned and scrapped in 1956. The rest of the 10 remaining fleets's operational remains unknown, possibly some were decommissioned as far as 1970s.
