Some info on this Map concept as I have seen some people like it and might want to know more.
Valde is a continent very magical due to the fact that all the intelligent races can trace heritage back to draconic roots, though the magic evolution has lead to primarily humanoid races as opposed to half dragons, but half dragons traits manifesting are not unheard of.
Most inhabitants can pick up magic or supernatural abilities quite naturally and magic itself is commonplace like technology is to us.
