I wanted to do a dragonlestia concept, this was meant to be a doodle to explore possible color scheme and to test whether keeping the mane "as is" would work, but...it didn't go as planned, I spend waaaay more time on the back ground than I did on dragonlestia.Background is based on the Pillars of Creation region in the Eagle Nebula (NGC6611), photo from

To be honest, the idea of a "Dragonesque" Celestia flying around the Eagle Nebula is sublime and majestic, and also, I think it's a beautiful painting. If it didn't go the way you intended, it's ok, you can use this one as a sketch and study a little further the elements of it in order to bring the real painting that you envision.
But nevertheless, it's still a wonderful job, keep it up!

Absolutely love the bright green color on the wings! It makes the picture really strong and memorable.
There is a really nice contrast with the bright dragon and the dark surroudings and I really like how that looks like it is done traditionally. It has a watercolor look!
