Jackson, Agent 8

Jackson and his sister Ivy where part of a genetics project to make the perfect solider. While many of the octolings from this project have passed due to either neglect or genetic defects with very few octolings remaining the project was deemed a failure very early on. However they still trained the remaining octolings as they had originally planned. King was set to mentor Jackson, and while the training was brutal at times with King often going easy on Jackson while Jackson's sister Ivy had their older sister Ace as a mentor. Jackson was told to suppress his emotions, to seem like he was one of the successful projects it was until King was outed as a traitor and sent to be executed. Jackson was angered by this, and in turn King was replaced by Queen. Queen was brutal often pushing Jackson to the brink during training sometimes Jackson would even turn on her but she always had control.

When Jackson completed his training he was sent on several missions with Ace and Ivy. The siblings become closer and Jackson had someone to vent to in his sisters but outside of their group, Jackson had no one and had to keep his emotions bottled. On a mission Jackson was sent to deal with the new Agents along with Ace, however Ace had other plans. Jackson had learned some inkling and could speak to them, Ace told him to find them and find out who exactly these inklings are. This is when Emerald and Jackson first met, Jackson revealed information about an ambush in exchanged, he ended up getting splatted before anything else. They didn't seem to want to talk that much. The next time Jackson met the new agents, he was with Holly another failed experiment like him. He spoke to the smaller agent for a while when Holly turned out to be more aggressive then she was worth. Jackson helped out the agents and that was that, he reported Holly later and Ace sent him to a different area for work. He never thought he would see those agents again, or at least one of them.

Jackson doesn't like recalling this time, but he was tasked to be Agent 78's keeper. Making sure he stays alive while Iris preforms some kind of experiment on him. Generally, Emerald suffered and even days where he would just lay still almost on death's door. Ace had told Jackson that if these experiments are successful that inkling would be the biggest treat to the octarians if freed. A inkling who had poison in their own ink, see in the night, fast and silent, the perfect assassin. Ace hinted that she wanted to use him for her own rebellion and Jackson agreed, until he didn't. Emerald had opened up a bit during their time together explaining how he had lost his memory, and running from an abuser, that explains the amount of scars he carries. Jackson felt sorry for the guy, to have Emerald be used again by someone else... He made up his mind. Jackson had stolen explosives and planted them around the laboratory warned the few people he did care about, and then he enacted his plan. Jackson blew up the lab and escaped with Emerald, who at this point could barely stay awake long enough to speak too. He needed help, and the only way he could think off was the surface. In short, Emerald's adopted family almost attacked Jackson, until Emerald showed himself. Jackson then lived with Emerald for years and the two got even closer and Emerald was the first to seal their relationship past more then just friends.

In the years following Jackson and Emerald lived together, Emerald eventually went out to find Agent 3 and ended up being caught by the octarians. Jackson seeked Phantom's help, who had become friends through Emerald and Phantom ended up becoming Agent 4. After that whole Agent mess was dealt with, Emerald was sent to find Agent 3 and Capt'n who had disappeared a few months back, and Emerald took Jackson with him. This leads into Octo Expansion which plays as normal with Jackson losing his memory, they find Emerald at some point who then disappears again, find another octoling named Iris who ends up sacrificing herself in the final assent so Jackson could move on. Jackson then finds another octoling (Snowflake) and the two of them fight Agent 3 aka Pluto. The final boss plays as normal except Snow and Jackson are working together. They go back underground to find a partly sanitized Emerald who had an unconscious Iris. Jackson distracts Emerald as Pluto sets up a shot in order to knock out Emerald. The group goes back, Iris tries to help find a cure for both Emerald's and Pluto's sanitization.

Emerald had recovered some of his memories along with his old name, and Jackson decides to help Emerald find his lost twin and whatever new adventures the Splatlands has in store for the pair.
