Description Call this a "before" picture.  It's been 30+ years since I last painted anything, and that was in oils, not watercolours.  It's always been a failing for me, that while I draw tolerably well, everything after the establishment of my first line drawing tends to amount to colouring book fill-in.  Or something more like comic book inking and colouring.  I don't naturally incline to forming images with masses of colour, based on only minimal sketches.  I don't PAINT, as such.  Also don't have any digital art skills--not Photoshop or anything else--and right now, it feels like a tall, tall mountain to climb, to get anywhere with either.  But I'm starting out with this crude, rough little image, at 4"x6" digitally a little larger than its original, and mean to see what I can learn messing around with this as my base .jpg  So there should be an "after" picture sometime.  It's already changed a lot from my first idea, which was a lot more like Gollum, or a hornless Shrek.  My palette says more about what paints weren't completely dried out in my ancient 'student' kit of watercolours, than anything I might have chosen, and I'm fairly sure this is not how watercolours are meant to be applied.
