Description
These are 3 of the 11 screens I made for a ps3 game for an event called gameJam which runs at Portsmouth University every year. The premise is that you get a week, 9-5, where you have to create a game based on 3 random wikipedia articles.
Of the 3 we chose to do "Weird tales 4", a book on stories or something. Our game was a kind of horror adventure with puzzle elements.

Environments were in Photoshop, painted using the bamboo tablet, in hindsight i could have done a bit of matte painting to make the backgrounds look alittle bit better.

I made the assets before hand, for example pieces of rock, and then cut and paste them together before post-processing for the final look.

The framework for the game was written fairly quickly so we had little time to optimise it, working on the ps3 is no easy feat. We had to work with small texture sizes so these were made at 640x360.
