not surprised to see one of these over in U.S. Sears & Roebucks Catalogue sold loads of these supposedly obsolete army surplus rifles off dirt cheap. If your great grandad was off ploughing his 250 acres in Oklahoma or Nebraska he'd be able to order one of these or various other rifles dirt cheap for hunting or blasting varmints or any asshole neighbours.
From what I've read they were still producing suitable ammo till the 40's. One German 1920's catalogue I've read was selling ammo 100 rounds for 25 Reichmarks.
