Astra Model 400 made in 1938. Very interesting design and one of the longest recoil springs I have ever seen in a pistol. This is a straight blowback design which necessitates the long recoil spring. Quite a fun pistol to shoot. This particular pistol shoots the 9mm largo cartridge. It can shoot 9mm luger in a pinch.I really need better grips. The current grips that are on the handgun now are poor reproductions made by GunGrips.com (NC Ordnance) as you can see by the poor fit.
