Description This is going to be pure charcoal. I sketched the picture with an HB graphite.

This is my first charcoal peice ever. And these are my thoughts and approaches into attacking this piece *note i have no prior training just doing what i think would look good (going off the stuff i messed with charcoal on another piece of paper just scratching about).

I am going to start with dark charcoal beneath the hands, (being careful around the top left hand since there is an eye ball). As i will carefully apply my (tortillo or blending stump or paper thing that blends? lol). To keep the pencil strokes from showin and to try to reduce the *fuzzy* effects of charchoal. then i will take the dark charcoal and reduce it to white after i drew half o the eye and part of a (figure of a head). *i will try to not keep TOO MUCH dark on the top left this is meant to be a light picture*. Oh yea and i will try to incorporate movement from the top left hand, (as if its pushing the eye slightly to the right).

For the bottom right hand, same rules and concept will apply from the top left hand. Only difference is i am drawing a mouth and the very very bottom of a nose (you prolly wont be able to tell it is one in the end but i dont care). And the movement will be trying to make it look as if the hand is sliding the mouth and dark area towards the left.

After i have finished both of those parts i will then quickly run through VERY LIGHTLY a thin layer of charcoal around the imprints of the face *that has not been erased* then i will blend it till it looks as if powdery substance.

Hopefully leaving a "ghostly" appearing image. Wish me luck i hope i capture it!
