FIRST: Please if you think that's too brutal just say me and I'll add a filter, I'm not sure about it because I already saw some cute pics with many blood without any filter.The picture is about a little boy named Isaac that's running away from his crazy mom who's trying to kill him in gods will.
He has to pass some really strange areas in the basement under his house and fight against monsters with shooting his tears at them.
The whole pic and story is based on a game I really like. It's an indi game made by the developers of "super meat boy". The game is called the binding of isaac. Check out the awesome trailer: [link]

And I find the symbolism rather interesting. Travelling throught the circles of Hell, making deals with the Devil, how the enemies are his siblings, and how he may in fact be dead this whole time.

not meaning to sound like a noob (since I am), but I've been listening to this [link] and in the comments, people are talking about Isaac having to crawl around fighting stuff in his mother's womb. Again, not meaning to sound like a noob, or harsh in any way, I'm still fairly new to this game, but... WHAT?

I think Edmund McMillen is really into shock value for it's own sake, and I can respect that. It shows in everything he's ever made, yet his games aren't without a personal touch.

It's not that I disagree, I'm just a bit confused in how you get to this point in the game (without unlocking it, I've heard you can) is all.

After you beat the game for the first time, the womb unlocks as the last floor (not counting Sheol).

technically The Womb levels unlock after you beat the game the first time. It is then said in the secret's message "Mom is sleeping". Ill let you make your own conclusions, but the Womb is not the final level, after a certain number of victories, a portal to Sheol, a part of hell opens, where you have to fight someone that by now you will be somewhat familiar with.

Well it's a pretty harsh story but I don't think it's so brutal at all, because every single thing is drawn super cute. Sure there are some things that are like "WTF?" but it's a cool game. The music is only in some floors very scary or weird but I think the whole music is more epic than scary. Like the first track, it's awesome. Or the end title Track. [link] [link]
The thing with the womb is true, you have to fight against the heart of your mother in the end, well if you don't like the story or gameplay because of the music or the weird places just don't play it ; ) or watch a few let's plays to get into the game.

I like it, but I don't really get it much. How'd he get into the wonb? I read he used a shovel (WTF.) as one type of way, and the other is an unlockable. I love the music (i'm addicted to that piece) but, you know, I'm just curious about that part...

Well you can go into the womb after you beat mom once, you have to beat her a second time and after this fight there is a trapdoor to go deeper..and then you are in her womb γ½(γβγ)γ
