ya, so its been like a bazillion years since i have last posted anything. School has been a big ass nag, it sux... If your looking to learn skills and be prepared for the real world when you come out of college, don't come to UCLA....so with that said, i went ahead and made this, this past weekend. Its my first "real" painting. I like it. So hopefully more to come
ps... The gray area's are actually metallic silver....ooo shinny

it looks good for a first! acrylics can be tough to use depending on the quality of the paint. one thing to keep in mind to give your paintings more depth is never use straight from the bottle colors, try to avoid using black, and when you want to do shadow on a white object never use black, make your grays out of blue and brown and they'll look more realistic. Then again I know you weren't aiming for realism with this piece so just keep that stuff in mind for the future

Funny how I decided to start painting too.
The blue man is symbolic of your Substance abuse.
Hence the smoke and stars.
Therefore We are all burning in the yellow submarine.

For the first time, that's pretty cool. I remember my first time. There was more red.
I like the texture of it, even though that's just from the canvas and I know it is. But in this, our virtual world, everything is flat and that looks bumpy so I want to run my hand across it. But I won't. It might still be wet. And I'll smudge my monitor.
