You are right, Pol, in that how & why does not matter being this is the result. With Mera, who is definitely no pushover in her own style, in control of 2 of the most powerful superheroines in existence, who can stand against her? Of course what isn't said is that she may possess the same aquatic control of the sea creatures as Aquaman (either via natural or sorcery means) so she has that as a strong defense also. With her two new pets adoring her Mera's place on the throne is undisputed, even welcomed by some. Terrific drawing, Pol.

As for Mera, pretty much every single time the League has had anything to do with Atlantis, she's been important. Hell, she was REALLY important in the Blackest Night, and that was one of the biggest events of pre-N52/post-crisis DC comics.

Well, yeah, it'd be weird if she WASN'T involved there, given she's the queen. But being involved in a few random stories doesn't make her known to non-comic readers. Maybe more people will care after the movie, assuming it turns out good.

One is coming up to 20 years old and the other is a direct to DVD film aimed at comic fans. Doesn't really spread awareness to the masses these days.

She was in Young Justice. I'm sure she was probably in Batman: the Brave and the Bold at some point, and either has been or will be in Justice League Action.

Again, it's not about just having him appear if people don't like him. Even with the film, he's so different, it might not do much to boost comic Arthur's popularity. I think Injustice might have the best chance of getting him mroe widespread popularity.

He's been around, but they tend not to have him do much. In Brave and the Bold, he's a walking punchline about his Super Friends incarnation. Again, it's about making people care about him/like him. Just getting a movie won't do that. Even if people like the film version, as a reimagining, it might not do much for comic Arthur's popularity. I think Injustice probably has the best chance of getting him more widespread popualrity.
