Description
An interesting fact - this is the first comic of mine that I sketched on real paper with real pencils (I always sketch with my tablet), and it turned out to be even easier than sketching digitally. So, the story is an epilogue to the Shining Armor & Cadance arc of the official MLP comic. If you haven't read that yet, go do that now, so you'll know why Poindexter is dressed like a mare, why is he holding hooves with a polo team member, and what is Al Calavicci doing there (It's a Quantum Leap reference, if someone is not familiar with the character).
I tell you guys - the MLP comics are actually better than the show, especially the issues made by (go watch them on DA, if you are at this).
I made this comic because I see many works referencing the episodes of the show, but not the comics. Also, it's a sort of a tribute to the people working on the comics (don't forget the other creative teams!)
The characters in teh comic appeared in the aforememntioned issues. The yellow unicorn's name is Lemony Gem. The dark yellow earth pony's name is Flank Thrasher.

Thanks to the guys from fimfiction who gave me some advice on the script! | MLP and its characters belong to Hasbro. | If you repost or translate this comic, please link back here. You can't post it on DeviantArt. | 28-12-2013 EQD postΒ

Wow you got the art style of the comics perfectly. If I didn't know better, I would swear you areΒ actually the artist of those comics.

he was named in this very comic strip (if you talk about the Orange/white pony with green hair - it's Gaffer)

I wouldn't say better than the show, but still pretty damn good. And yes, the ones by Cook and Price are the best of all the issues.

the funny thing was that whenever he was dressed like a mare (twice during the story arc), many stallions reacted to him as if he was the most beautiful mare around, even though he was just... ugly
The rule of funny, I guess.

Now just imagine the surprise when they will know it is male, what will be the reaction?. And the truth of things, has a certain charm dress girl. Poindexter wants to take his feminine side. Β

Eh, being transgender myself I think this (the comic) was handled a bit insensitively. Kinda plays on the fears and discomforts that guys have when dealing with transvestites and transgender people. I would have been better with it if Poindexter said,"It just feels right to me." rather than "I just like being popular."
That all being said, kinda silly comic in all so what ev. Maybe his mission is to help Poindexter realize there is more to what he is feeling than being popular. You did a good job in capturing the style used in the comic book series.

How can any stallion love that gosh darned ugly "mare"?

I must say that I've never seen a ponified Scott Bakula look so... well... great!

Can you do him as Capt. Archer next?

I know you said that your style was often mistaken for Mr. Price's, but damn, this is uncanny. Β Awesome stuff!
Auburn Arc from Fimfiction, by the way. Β I stumbled across your twitter handle on an old twitter post by Digibrony, thought "Well, what are the odds!", and made my way here. Β Now that I look at it, I recognize a lot of your posts as fanart I've seen and enjoyed in the past, so I think this follow is long overdue. Β
Also, to everyone else: Β Yes, you SHOULD read the comics! Β Between the art and the writing, they're darker, weirder, funnier than the show, and stuffed to the brim with fanservice, especially in the arcs done by Andy Price and Katie Cook. Β Anything those two work on is gold, and I've yet to see their streak blemished.

hi, there. Thanks again for help
People from fimfiction somehow don't associate me with my works, even though they seem to know them. I'm not too popular and well-known, apparently.
And I saw that you felt I was exaggerating with my works being taken for Price's, heh heh
Btw, I wanted to link you the comic, but you had left the chat before I uploaded it.

Love it! You're right, there aren't that many works based off of the comics. There may be less source material, but there still is enough to make things like this. Fantastic!

Indeed comic are very funny as well, and it seems that they have a bit more freedom on the material, given some references (like oh so many horror references in Chrysalis arc), In general I enjoy mlp in both mediums just the same, but yeah, guys seriously, go read them comics it's definetely worth it
As for sketch, good job on trying something new, I think that traditional drawing will be always easier, since it's more natural, there is always a difference between drawing digitally and traditionally - even if small but still
All in all really cool comic, very entertaining the nod to official comics is really appreciated, and well, what shall I add? I am waiting for more as usual

He was singing Oingo Boingo's song: Little girls. Β "I... I I I like little girls they make me feel so bad!" Β It's one of their big hits from the 80's. Β They also sing Dead Man's Party which is more popular and known. Β
