Whispering Pines Ranch is a horse ranch settled in the Rocky Mountains, right on the border of the Rocky Mountain National Park on the western slope. The western slope provides the land with ample rain and snowfall, causing the surroundings to be thick with coniferous vegetation, running streams and even some majestic waterfalls. In the midst of all the thickets, the sheer rock falls and the rivers are clearings with flowering meadows. Aspen trees are very prevalent here and cause the landscape around Whispering Pines to be very colorful, ranging from vivid greens to rich oranges and reds in the autumn months. The area is often visited by elk, deer, big horn sheep, moose, beavers and even otters on occasion

In keeping to the very natural feel of Whispering Pines, what housing there is for both animals and humans is created by logs, and the facilities are very widely spread as to not have any negative effect on the natural growing pattern of the region. There are dirt paths leading where one needs to go, as well as trails that go off into the wilderness. Whispering Pines has an agreement with the Rocky Mountain National Park, that for a fee as well as annual trail clean-up duty, they are allowed to use the trails that are near by.

Angelina, also known as Miss Ange, is the owner of Whispering Pines and manages it with the help of various staff members. To help the ranch make money, she provides lessons given by herself, as well as trail rides around the area and into Rocky Mountain National Park.
