After last night's festivities and a fair amount of whisky, Maiden is feeling a little rough this morning. Pulling on whatever was lying around, she trudges out to the kitchen to nurse her hangover, leaving last night's conquest lying in her bed to sleep a little longer. And just like last time, NorthernShield has provided an accompanying story to go with this picture. Enjoy!

You wake up in bed with a headache. You have no recollection of what happened last night. Is it Saturday today? Or Sunday? Or has Monday already come? As you look around the room, you realise that this isn't your room. Unless it was renovated over night. Groggily, you walk out of the room and enter a living room-kitchen where by the counter, woman is pouring herself a cup of coffee.

She looks over at you and says in a tired voice: "Look who decided to finally wake up." She looks absolutely shagged. This sight startles you for a moment as you can't see who it is through your grogginess. "What's the matter? You look like you've seen a ghost," she says. The only words that come out of your mouth is a question about who she is and where you are. She looks confused at first, but then returns an understanding smile and says, "The alcohol must have hit you pretty hard. Sit on the couch, and I'll get you some coffee."

You do so and shortly after, the woman sits by you and gives you a cup. Drinking it seems to clear your head a little, but not much. "Feeling better?" You nod in affirmation. Thinking a little, you remember that you were at a night club and you went with a woman that looks like the one beside you... wait. It IS her! Its Northern Maiden! You're in HER apartment. She seems to notice your realisation, as the next thing she says is: "That's right. I am the same gal you met at the night club. And may I say, you were a beast under the sheets~" She bit her lip and gazed hungrily at you.

After having a chat and a coffee, you ask her if this is the start of something. Her face turned a bit melancholy as she put her cup on the table in front of the couch. "*Sigh* I don't like giving people false hope, so I'll be straight with you. I am not looking for a relationship. You see... settling down does not appeal to me. I'm a lady of the night, and was just looking for some action. But when I saw you trying to get with others and failing, it broke my heart. That's why I chose you out of all the other club goers. I believe everyone deserves to feel loved. Even if it is just for a moment."

Sitting there and hearing her explain her side of the story, makes you think that if you didn't go up to her, your night would have been miserable and lonely. This makes you cry a little. "N'aww, don't cry. Come here," Maiden says as she opens her arms for a hug. You accept it and embrace each other as you sniffle your tears away. She comforts you by rubbing your back and patting your head. After a moment of silence, Maiden speaks up. "You know... I genuinely like your presence. If you'd like, you can stay here for the rest of the weekend."
