It's literally a Ball with a giant mask styled like the RX-78-2.
It's performance is less than the standard Ball, but it actually destroyed seven or eight enemies in a battle. I forget exactly which battle it was, though.

I transform into a shape-shifter (biological weapon) and then use my new powers to help the changelings kill her. Now Princess Luna and Queen Chrysalis can unite their people and found a pony-changeling super empire! Luna would never do this you say? Do you have a better reason why Luna never involved herself with the changeling attack or how Chrysalis got through Shining Armor's bubble? Methinks there was some sort of plot going deeper than what we were shown... I want in on it.
