    Finally trying to introduce one of the oldest storylines I’ve had in my NG. His overall story has been relatively unchanged from when I made it over 4 years ago. Since I want to get better at storytelling and maybe even make a comic, his story is probably a good place to start.
    Previously I decided that his father was absent in his life, however I think that he will play a role. I’m unsure who as of now; the design was based on Neighsay but I think that might be too much of a leap. Either way, Amicus’ father was a classically awful deadbeat father. He would break promises, cheat, and disregard both of them. Yet when he would beg Twi for her forgiveness, claiming he would never hurt them again, he would be welcomed back for the cycle to start over again. While I don’t think Twilight was gullible or ignorant to his behavior, she so desperately believed in redemptions, she was willing to give him far more chances than he deserved. She finally kicks him to the curb for good when Amicus is around 10 years old. He had long given up on his father and could not understand why his mom would continue to give him chances; frustrated with her idea of “redemption.” She truly believes, whether from ignorance, or more likely desperate optimism, that everyone deserves redemption and the idea that his father, who continued to wrong them both, deserved not only his forgiveness but a (unearned) chance to redeem himself was infuriating. This planted 2 very small seeds that would eventually fester into his future.
     He (subconsciously) started to develop a sort of strong sense of justice/ right or wrong; there was a clear line in the sand and no way back once crossed, regardless of the transgression. And his mother’s disregard for that showed that she was at best hopelessly optimistic and at worst outright ignorant, either way, she doesn’t know best.

I intended to give a run down of his whole story but this quickly became a wall of text so I will cut it here for now. Maybe it will be slightly less confusing than my usually ramblings but i’ll let y'all guess how those two things play on in the future for now
