Childhood friends to lovers'I also didn't realize the Wolf and Bunny theme until I was typing this out
Bunny Trot is the daughter of Bulk and Fluttershy (MtF she/her)
Wolf Star is the child of Twi and Sunset (I think Flash will be their bio father) (FtM they/them)
The two have been friends forever. Fluttershy stayed with Twi for the first couple years of their life as Flash had passed away and she was providing support (this is before Van and Sunset returned from EQG)
Bunny was an only child and Wolf's older brother wanted nothing to do with them, so naturally Bunny and Wolf became super close.
1. Bunny was a very small foal, even smaller than Wolf for several years (even though Wolf was a pretty small foal themselves)
2. Sharing breath. Maybe after reuniting after several months apart?
3. Bunny in her teen years quickly grew to nearly her father's size, dawrfing Wolf even more than most ponies
