Yeah! There's no use saying which rendition is better since they're all good for different reasons!
As for the pic...I really like you used the colored lineart on the characters, particularly on Verruca: it really pops out. I also really like how Willy Wonka (aka the only adult in the pic) is faced away from them and smiling subtly, as if he knows something that the kids don't...
