Lung cancer from smoking killed my mom. It didn't take very long, she was seemingly fine in September '06, diagnosed in October, on chemo the next week...completely fucked up on pain killers and baking cookies in December, in the hospital by April, came home for a week in June until at some point her hip fractured (her bones were extremely weak) and then became permanently bed ridden and was dead by July...
The cancer had spread to her bones and she developed an inoperable tumor on her spine, she was in constant pain...at 16/17 I was left to take care of her....and I smoke a pack a day
It scares me knowing that I'm probably going to die a similar way

unfortunately, i have the same problem. i've been trying to quit, but i just can't. cutting down isn't working either.
and i mean, i fuckin' wheeze and get short of breath so easily, i really don't know why i still do it.
i hope you can find it in you to cut back. if you try, i'll try :> even though that probably doesn't mean much froma complete stranger, but still.
