Perhaps it's just me, but I find the concept of an Alraune looking like a cool boss character.
Designed to trap humans using lust as a their weakness. Which fits if your character is a male protagonist that has to stop her from defeating you.

This particular alraune wasn't always human's enemy, she used to come in contact with them and share her nectar aroma. But a fissure caused her do fell in an underground forest.
There she discovered that she's carnivorous, and her aroma is used as a lure. Without the light and water she used to survive, she have to find her way through different means.

Was formerly designed as an idea of an optional boss, but by now I think it became more a character on her own. I like it that way too.
