breccia is rock formed from the compacted fragments of other broken rocks. this type of stone is pretty common in the Detroit River Group, but the fragments here might be fragments of stromatoporoids like those in the Traverse Group. the stroms here in southern Michigan dont look as well preserved as the ones in Petoskey, but they appear to be as abundant.
