Description
---------------- Design vs. rendering ----------------
Young artists (like myself) will often start a piece and feel like something is missing. We then jump into rendering because we think that will fix things, but it really doesn’t because the design wasn’t interesting enough. I still somewhat struggle with design, so I used a brush which doesn’t allow me to render. This really helped me focus.
---------------- The Brush I used ----------------
I recently discovered (or more accurately rediscovered) the “t) Shapes Fill”-Brush in Krita. It essentially works like making a selection and filling it at the same time. Stylistically it is quite different from the stuff I usually do, but I like experimenting every once in a while.
---------------- Inspiration for this piece ----------------
I recently saw a video from BoroCG were he talked about shape design. This reminded me of a video from Tyler Edlin where he talks about design vs. rendering (the basics I have summed up above). I decided to go back and practice with this in mind.
Time: around 1h 30min
