Description

I finally decided to try out AI text to image generation to make artwork. It sort of works. The result looks pretty good, but I feel like I just don’t have enough control over how the picture looks in the end. My initial plan for this one was to make a night-time scene with snowy hills and small medieval houses. But for some reason I couldn’t get the AI to make a night scene. Maybe the text prompts I gave it weren’t working or maybe it just doesn’t have enough data. So I ended up just going with what it gave me and piecing stuff together as I saw fit.

Either way I am both excited and sceptical about AI. I think it could be pretty game changing, but it just isn’t where I need it to be to really start using it properly. I am however looking into image to image generation. There is apparently a Krita Plugin that is supposed to allow you to do that. I really hope I will manage to set it up

If you want to see which parts of the image where AI generated, I have a picture showing the final image and the four AI pictures I used to create it here: Snowy Landscape - AI Assisted Art - Breakdown

I plan to do some more stuff with AI. For the sake of transparency, I will label them as AI assisted (or AI generated should I ever decide to not make any alterations to the image). AI assisted art seems to be the currently accepted terminology, but if there is another word for it, please tell me in the comments. I am really new to this stuff so I still have a lot to learn.
