okay, my inner vulcan can't let this go and i know this is going to be a useless effort to obtain logic, but i just have a few questions.

1. how can Ariel be aware of a character who is not only digital, but from over a century in the future; like wise how can Ralph be aware of Ariel? 

2.  How is Ralph outside of his game, did he just decided to abandon everyone who was living in his game?

3. Is Ralph replacing Eric in this universe and if so does that mean she saved Ralph from drowning ?

4. if Ralph has replaced Eric , why is he not dressed the same and why does still has massive arms and consquently his ability to punch through most anything ?

5. If Eric is still around, why is he not here since he would've still been saved by Ariel and still recgonize her like he did in the movie?

Hey, Ariel got several games of her own...A movie-based version was on the gameboy, sega genesis, and NES(?I think). There was also at least one game for GBA and and PS each. Not to mention her appearances in the Kingdom Hearts series. So....maybe its the game version of Ariel and not the movie version? There's at least a little logic obtained....You'll have to figure out what to do with Eric still though ^-^
