happy late(??) bday genbu my boyy

OK SO LISTEN i think its actually the 23rd??? but the wiki said 24th?? and in general even virvox's official page made a joke abt his bday being xmas[eve] by putting a little santa hat on him last year SO?? idk which days it is but whatever better now than never

eleanor is here too lmao. she... did not come out as nice as him 😭 and in general the anatomy here is def janky... but this was a quick thing anyways and i drew most of it at like 2am (got sent to sleep by my very angry hispanic mother lmao) so i didnt feel like redoing it

i never talk abt her or genbu but theyre both super special to meeee (esp genbu more or so cause oops favoritism... listen man ellie's got plenty more fans and users i gotta stick up for my boy 😭). their gen1 eval versions were the first vsynths i actually managed to mess around with, program wise, so that was a hugeeee thing for me. this was towards the end of 2019 iirc? and then 2020 and 2021 were my first ventures dipping my toes into actually using the program... i still suck at using it lmao but i've def learned a lot more since then, crazy how much you can get done in a few years hskjghk. and i dont remember if i mentioned it but i did snap earlier this year back in april and bought synthv studio pro + genbu's full version back in april SO... HSKJGHK.

i'll see if i ever invest in ellie's full version hksdjgk it'd honestly only be so she and genbu can duet in jpn (b/c he.. cannot really english. hskjgk). tbh tho im fine working w/ her lite version for now so we'll see

anyways yeah i never fucking talk abt them or draw them more (fucking COMPLICATED ASS DESIGNS 😭 there is so much going on its crazy) but i love em. very special peeps to me

they do sorta give me these vibes like obv for his color palette + name origin i vaguely associate genbu w/ reptiles (and. tortle. b/c yes) but while ellie doesn't have any canon connections to animals (she's more stationery based iirc? well genbu is too sorta but its different) i always thought her hair bow thing kinda looked like bunny ears. and she does give me these sorts of leporid vibes in terms of seeming cute but can also be quite ominous at times. but we're not gonna unpack that rn we're gonna reserve that for a later art piece :3
