Ahahaha!!! You think the creators of My Little Pony actually came out and told everyone that they had permission to create all their fan-characters and knockoffs? Nope! They didn't! And it's the same thing as using a general design: we can all do it if we want to. Did PrePAWSterous file for copyright ownership or a patent for her designs? Nope. So if I don't support her selling those little designs for four dollars each, I can certainly start drawing similar creatures and use my $4 to buy a sandwich.

It would not be plagiarism unless I directly traced or copied the image, so I can make something similar if I want because I don't want to pay an outrageous price for a drawing.

Actually if you wanted to be original, you would no do that kind of thing. I, being someone who draws respects art made by others and adoptables.
And if you make something similar it's quite rude to the artist who made the piece.

People on deviantart are so hysterical, pretending that everyone who makes the tiniest remark against someone else is jealous of them. I'm not jealous for a second of someone who wants to charge people money for drawings they didn't have to pay a cent to make. Also, what a dense assumption you made, that since I don't upload my art to dA, I never draw at all. But you can think what you like. I never said I wanted to be original, either. I just don't want to pay for stupid pictures.

It's a little funny because I have 600+ points and didnt pay a single cent to get any of them. You don't necessarily need to use real money to obtain devaintart points.
Plus it's honestly up to the individual if they wish to spend points on a design. This is actually cheap, especially since some people charge 10+ dollars for designs.

It doesn't matter how cheap it is; asking for money for a stupid design that is uncreative, generic, a spin-off, and likely took very little time to design and draw is selfish, narcissistic, and rude.

As I said before, but you for some reason did not seem to either read and or comprehend, that I have over 600 points myself and have not spent a single cent to get any of them.

Yes, thank you; you obviously enjoy talking too much and pretending you are smarter than everyone else because you say things more than once. However, the fact of the matter is that unless you are a genuinely greedy, self-absorbed person who says,"My art started as a hobby but I am now so amazing and flawless that people definitely want to buy points and commission me for my art!" (example given: you), you will, in fact, have to buy points with actual real-life currency.

I actual have never commissioned someone for points... I have gained my points through winning contests for fun. And I do not enjoy talking, it's just a shame that I have to repeatedly waste words on someone who only reads what they want to read. I hope you know what a period is too, because all I see in your comment is a long string of jumbled words and commas. My art is only a hobby, and I actually know I am not very good at art, but I also simply don't care. I draw for fun, I'm not going to college for it, and I never plan on making money on it. So please don't make assumptions when you don't even know me, just as I am not making assumptions about you or what you do in your spare time.

it may not technically cost money to make the drawings, but it still takes time and effort, and that has worth. You know, time=money and all that. Anyways, who are you to complain about how people spend their money? You commenting like this is just rude, and it's especially rude to copy a design.

And I didn't say you didn't draw/never draw.
But I think it's honorable to want to sell art for money/points. It means you like what you draw and you are proud enough to sell it. I barely have enough confidence in myself to put up a single piece that I draw.
And it's rude to call a design/art piece stupid. You sort of sound like my mom now c: (She says designs and drawings are stupid and no one should pay for them.. Though I never listen/go by what she says about that topic c: )
