I really loved this page and that particular shot. The one of Mandy talking of taking over Hell. So to begin with in this picture I really put some thought into how it was set out. Through poses and what was around her. So, in the beginning I chose to have Mandy looking scared but looming against Grim. She doesn't show fear but does have it. Then there is the fact Grim's sythe around Mandy. It's shows that there is protection on Grim's behalf on constantly adding to how long she lives, but then again he could change at any moment and kill her then and there.
You will notice small tellow blobs on the page, well they were attempts at Cherry Blossums with a kick. They, when alive, are to show new romance and life but seeing as they are falling into a greying state it shows an end to a romance or even to the extent of Death. So, in that respect where life is Death to Mandy they are a good thing and really show her lust to die and her love for, well future love for, the unfeeling.
The background was going to feature shapes of monsters but I felt it was too cluttered for what it was. Ohkay I am rambling now. I like how Mandy turned out, and will post the image without the grey mask over her head...
