i watched this shadow fall on the kitchen doorso i ran across the road and asked my neighbor to model.
she has amazing eyes.

An amazing photo, and an equally amazing model. Hopefully you and your neighbour don't mind, but I'll likely be using her face as a reference for an "expression drawing" in art class. ^^ With proper credit to you and her of course.

Stunning shot. The lighting's brilliant - the very dramatic contrasts are quite striking - and that girl's got very piercing eyes, which draw the focus of the piece and make it all the more powerful. Wonderful composition.

I agree, really amazing eyes, they looks so... like they've been photoshop-ed or something like that, because they really... pierce right through you. In a good way that is.
And then the shadows on her face makes her look like... she's imprisoned. I love that effect.

Now that I think about it, I have the eyes of same color. Never had the chance to photograph them in sunlight with good camera.

Really nice photo. The eyes of your model are very captivating. A couple of things though... the shadow falling across her nose and darkening the tip of it makes her look like a little cutesy animal. Not sure if this was intended but (to me) it takes away from the mature beauty of the shot. And as someone has already said, your choice of cropping (to me) makes it feel a little like a quick snap shot as opposed to something more structured and planned. The full head shot (with her hair) would finish this piece well. Have you thought about greyscaling the photo and keeping her eyes that vivid blue? That might look very effective.
