To protect her fields from hungry birds, the farmer of Rireinu will set up a scarecrow, a somewhat person-shaped contraption. Here the scarecrow's body is made from bundles of straw. The head is more straw, stuffed into a bag. In addition, there are some shiny dangly bits and pieces that are intended to move in the breeze and so provide some noise and motion to the figure.
