Meet Allie, the troll!- Hold your questions while I plug my podcast. Dungeons and Dual Mode is a podcast about me and my friend playing dnd. It takes place in a world with loose spec evo aspects as well as lots of paleontological talk along the way , think Kaimere! It's a good mix between comedy, scientific banter, and a fantasy story.
Now to Allie. Allie is a troll. Trolls being a basal genus branch of Alligatoroidea in my world. Trolls are on the evolutionary way to become wading predators, such as herons, and as such stand upright in a very dinosaur-like way. Due to being sapient, they do have slower evolution and generally rely on traps and fishing for food, as well as supplementing their diet with apples. As in real life mythology, trolls turn into stone under circumstances. This is due to an ancient curse, a curse that dictates they will turn to stone if faced with dehydration.
